About Shell Energy Broadband

Shell Energy Broadband was the home broadband side of Shell Energy. Octopus Energy bought Shell Energy's UK household business in December 2023 and then sold the roughly 480,000 broadband customers to a company controlled by TalkTalk's major shareholders, a sale confirmed in February 2024. Those customers were moved over to TalkTalk.

An old Shell Energy broadband sales page may still turn up online, but the brand no longer takes new customers.

TalkTalk has since gone into administration, and in October 2026 BT agreed to buy its consumer business, a deal still under review. If you were a Shell Energy Broadband customer, your account will have moved to TalkTalk.
