About Shell Energy Broadband

This profile is built from our broadband market dataset and the sources linked on this page. We do not repeat unchecked marketing claims; numbers and dates match fields on file or linked evidence.

Shell Energy Broadband was a UK residential broadband and phone service that began when Shell Energy Retail acquired First Utility's broadband customers in 2018, expanded through the acquisition of Post Office Broadband customers in 2021, and operated until 2023 when Shell sold the broadband and home phone business to TalkTalk Group. Shell Energy Broadband customers were migrated to TalkTalk during 2023 and the brand is no longer active. Shell Energy itself continues as an energy-focused brand.
