Modern slavery and human trafficking statement
SearchSwitchSave, the company that operates BroadbandSwitch.uk, opposes modern slavery and human trafficking in all forms. This statement is published voluntarily. Our annual turnover is below the £36 million threshold that triggers a mandatory statement under section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, but we publish anyway because transparency matters to the households and small businesses who rely on our service.
Our business
SearchSwitchSave is an Isle of Man registered company (number 030828B) with its office at Sycamore House, Glen Duff, Lezayre, IM7 2AT. We operate consumer comparison websites including BroadbandSwitch.uk, serving households and small businesses in the United Kingdom. We are a small team, based in the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man. Our work involves publishing editorial content, maintaining structured data on UK broadband providers, and referring users to providers through tracked affiliate links.
Our supply chain
As a digital service, our supply chain is narrow and well-defined. The main categories are:
- Cloud hosting, databases and content delivery infrastructure.
- Software-as-a-service subscriptions for editorial, analytics and productivity.
- Affiliate network relationships that connect us to broadband providers.
- Professional services including accounting, legal, tax and marketing.
We prefer suppliers that are based in the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man, the European Union, or other jurisdictions with comparable labour and human rights protections, and that publish their own modern slavery or human rights statements where statutory thresholds apply to them.
Our policies
- All staff and contractors sign a contract that commits them to lawful conduct and to reporting concerns about working practices, including those of suppliers.
- We do not engage workers on terms that could constitute forced, bonded or compulsory labour. Payment terms are clear, prompt, and consistent with fair work practice.
- We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
- Suspected issues concerning any supplier are escalated to leadership and, where appropriate, to the relevant authority.
Risk assessment
The risk of modern slavery within our direct operations is assessed as low, given our office-based, United Kingdom and Isle of Man workforce. The risk in our supply chain is also assessed as low, given that our major suppliers are regulated technology and professional services firms. We review this assessment at least annually and whenever material changes to our operations or supply chain occur.
Training and awareness
All staff receive a briefing during onboarding covering how to identify and report concerns related to modern slavery and human trafficking. We refresh this briefing at least annually. Concerns can be reported without fear of reprisal.
Reporting a concern
Anyone with a concern about modern slavery or human trafficking in connection with SearchSwitchSave, BroadbandSwitch.uk, or our suppliers should email editor@broadbandswitch.uk. We treat such reports with confidentiality and urgency and will acknowledge receipt within five working days.
Review and approval
This statement is reviewed annually, and whenever material changes to our business or supply chain occur. It has been approved by the directors of SearchSwitchSave for the year ending 2026.
