About Glide
Glide sells managed internet and Wi-Fi to the organisations that run places where people live, learn and work. That covers student accommodation, build-to-rent apartment blocks, education, hospitality, data centres, public sector sites and businesses of every size.
It runs its own fibre network, which it says began 25 years ago in London and Manchester, and it also offers dark fibre (unlit fibre that a customer lights and runs itself). Its site says Alinda Capital Partners acquired Glide in 2020, and that Glide won an ISPA award for its infrastructure. The linked company, Albatross Glide Group Ltd, was incorporated in August 2024 and is registered in Stourbridge.
Because it works for the organisations running these buildings, students and tenants get Glide through their accommodation.
