Independent profile snapshot

This extended snapshot summarises how the provider presents itself in the UK market. It supplements the dataset-led summary above.

Angus WISP is a Scottish independent wireless internet service provider delivering high-speed rural broadband to communities across Angus, trading as a branch of family-owned DS Electrical (established 2005) from Hillview, Gateside, Inverarity by Forfar DD8 1XN. Established in 2016, the company delivers broadband speeds of 40Mbps and more to rural Angus homes and businesses through a combination of fibre-optic backhaul and more than 15 self-built land-based repeater stations that pass on wireless signals to the most difficult-to-access properties. Angus WISP manufactures its own masts, performing all welding, painting, concreting, software setup, commissioning and upkeep in-house with full-time staff, and some repeaters are powered by local wind turbines. Residential unlimited, uncontended packages start at £24 per month including VAT for a 12Mbps symmetric connection, scaling to off-peak plans with guaranteed minimum speeds. The provider is a member of UKWISPA and works in partnership with local Angus estates to roll out fibre and wireless infrastructure.
