About Pine Media
Pine Media builds and runs its own full fibre network in Sheffield, and says it designs, builds and maintains every metre of fibre itself. It began in 2015, keeps its support team in the city and says the network now reaches more than 37,000 Sheffield homes and businesses.
Every plan includes a mesh-capable eero router, and its site mentions plans of 2Gbps and above. Pine Media says its prices do not rise mid-contract. New customers can try the service for 30 days with no exit penalty, and if the minimum speed shown on your plan cannot be restored within 30 days of a confirmed fault, you can leave without an early termination charge.
For over a decade Pine Media also ran AIR, a fixed wireless service for rural spots around Sheffield and South Yorkshire. It is now winding AIR down and says more than 90% of those customers have already moved to full fibre.
