About Colt Technology
Colt Technology Services is built for large organisations and other networks, and household broadband is not part of its range. It runs its own fibre network linking offices, data centres and cloud services around the world. Its UK group company, incorporated in 1996, is registered at Colt House on Great Eastern Street in London.
The products are aimed at network and IT teams. They include dark fibre (bare cable the customer runs with its own equipment), wavelength and spectrum services, Ethernet, dedicated internet access, wholesale IP transit, cloud, security and voice. Colt says it has more than 250 connected cloud points of presence and 10 submarine cable systems.
For most households Colt is a name to recognise rather than a provider to sign up with. Businesses with several sites or heavy data needs can ask it to quote for dedicated fibre.
