Formerly 6G Internet, this Blackburn company runs its own fixed wireless network, beaming broadband to a small receiver outside your home.
About Opus Broadband
Opus Broadband is a trading name of 6G Internet Limited, and the company's old website calls the change just a new name, look and feel. Despite the old name, the service has nothing to do with mobile phone signals. It says its broadband does not travel over 4G, 5G or any future 6G cellular network.
The company says it built its own network because it could not offer the speeds and prices it wanted over old copper wiring and other firms' networks. That network connects to national data centres, and the final link to your property is fixed wireless, beamed to a small external receiver that is cabled to a Wi-Fi router indoors. It says it does not rely on other providers to deliver your connection.
Coverage depends on where its network reaches, so check your address first.
