About Multidata
Nigel and Mamie set up Multidata in 1989, and it is still a family-owned business run by a Swindon-based team, according to its website. It says it has been connecting businesses for more than 35 years, from early dial-up through to the 2027 PSTN switch-off that retires old copper phone lines.
Today it sells business fibre broadband, leased lines, VoIP phone systems and business mobile to SMEs and local authorities. It advertises uncontended leased lines of up to 10Gbps, meaning the capacity is yours alone, backed by a 4-hour repair agreement. Its MultiMon system watches connections for jitter, packet loss and delay, which it says lets engineers fix problems before customers notice.
Multidata says technical calls are answered by qualified engineers in under 30 seconds, and that it was named DTI Exporter of the Year in 1996.
