- Fram Broadband
Community-focused Framlingham provider bringing fixed wireless and fibre broadband to homes and businesses across East Suffolk since 2003.
About Fram Broadband
Fram Broadband began in 2003 because Framlingham could not get ADSL, the early type of broadband over phone lines. More than 20 years on, it is still based in the town, at the Framlingham Technology Centre on Station Road.
It describes itself as a community-focused ISP. It runs a number of fixed wireless access points, which send broadband by radio to a small receiver on your home, and says these cover around 70 square miles of the county. It also sells fibre broadband and can advise on options for very rural homes. The business changed hands in August 2013 and returned to Framlingham, where it started.
It suits homes and local businesses in East Suffolk villages where mainstream broadband struggles, so check whether its signal reaches your address.
