BroadbandSwitch.uk: Methodology and References
Broadband Deals Review, July 2026

METHODOLOGY

Every deal in the published review was checked by hand against the provider's own website on 4 July 2026. For each deal we recorded the product name, advertised average download speed, monthly price, contract length, setup fee, and the stated annual price rise in pounds and pence as required for new contracts under Ofcom rules in force since 17 January 2025. First year cost is calculated as monthly price multiplied by twelve, plus any setup fee. Availability behaviour was tested across ten UK network footprints: SW11, E14, M1, B1, S1, SO14, HU1, GL54, BT9 and YO1. Social tariff prices and eligibility were checked against provider social tariff pages and Ofcom's social tariff listings on the same date. Ordering on the published page reflects first year cost, never commission. BroadbandSwitch.uk earns commission on some outbound links; this never affects prices, ordering or editorial judgement, and where a cashback platform or direct deal beats a listed deal, the page says so. Corrections are logged publicly in the site's corrections log.
